We have three thatched stone cottages and three Safari tents. Each unit nestles in the sandstone ridge amongst the Mopane Veld, creating a very low visual footprint. Their design ensures privacy, and each one boasts a veranda from which to observe the rugged beauty around you.
The camp has electricity but is not air conditioned. There is a communal kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, and fridge and freezer space. All utensils and crockery are provided.
You can take your meals in the attractive dining room or around a crackling fire in the authentic boma with its own braai facilities, making for a wonderfully atmospheric African experience.
We have an unusually shaped swimming pool in which to cool off in the hottest months. There are dangerous animals on the farm, so due care should be exercised when enjoying the beauty of the bush. Just a short walk from the camp is arguably the finest San Rock Art Shelter in the Limpopo Province. There are annotated information boards to help with the interpretation of the fantastic images. It boasts the only locust images anywhere in the world.
Elephants are frequent visitors in the camp. They often enjoy a drink at a nearby waterhole.
In the early morning, be entertained by the lovely colourful lizards as they warm themselves on the rocks surrounding the camp.
Mapungubwe National Park entrance gate is only ten minutes drive away. Here you can see and learn about the first African Kingdom. This area is a World Heritage Site, and our farm, as well as being declared a Natural Heritage Site, is included in this.
Great attention is paid to preserving the delicate ecology and to reduce our carbon footprint.
The Tuli elephants, originally from across the Limpopo River are now considered wandering residents. They crisscross the farm, and can often be seen drinking from the waterhole. These gentle giants need all the space they can get, and as the area is further opened up, they will hopefully one day enjoy their old migratory routes.
Enjoy the extraordinary sounds of an African sunset as night falls and the bush echoes with the calls of Barking Geckos.
Situated in the Limpopo Valley; a few kilometers from the borders of Botswana & Zimbabwe.
